Self Care Heart Pillow

A powerful mindfulness activity for both children and adults.

Instructions: Take two crochet hearts. Thread a needle with yarn and sew the crochet hearts together. Before closing it add the sachet of lavender. Close the lavender inside. 

Guided Meditation

Bring your heart pillow to your nose and inhale deeply for five seconds, with eyes closed. As you lower your pillow back down to a comfortable position on your lap, concentrate on the scent of lavender. What does lavender look like in nature? How did it travel to you from the plant world to you? After a few minutes, lie on your back and focus on the feel of the pillow in your hands. Exhale deeply. Let whatever thoughts or emotions come and go. Just notice them. Repeat until you feel fully relaxed and in the present.
